E-commerce
cleangang - because cleaning products deserve clean design, too. Home care supplies brand.
CleanGang is a modern home care brand offering high-quality cleaning supplies. I designed their entire e-commerce experience from the ground up including structure, product logic, interface, and tone.
This project was a solo deep dive into everything: information architecture, product discovery flows, visual hierarchy, and mobile-first thinking. The goal was simple: design a shop that feels clean - both in experience and in visual identity.

💭 The Problem
The challenge? Cleaning products aren’t sexy. Designing a store that felt modern, effortless, and worth caring about was no small task. Many cleaning supply websites feel outdated, cluttered, or overly commercial. Designed more for bulk-buying boomers than for today's conscious, digital-first users.
But CleanGang had a different goal: build a shop that speaks to Gen Z - a generation that values transparency, clean aesthetics, and purpose-driven brands.
At the same time, the client had no existing design system, UX strategy, or product hierarchy. I was tasked with building the experience from scratch. Making it not only functional, but also genuinely appealing to a younger, style-aware audience.
💡 The Idea
The vision behind cleangang was to challenge visual expectations of cleaning products through bold colors, striking product presentation, and simple layouts that feel more like a fashion brand than a utility store.
The aesthetic flirts with brutalism, but never at the expense of usability. Every decision was made with UX in mind - clarity, speed, and smooth checkout flows were just as important as visual punch.
✅ The Solution
An unapologetically bold e-commerce store that balances visual edge with UX clarity.
Key design principles:
Layouts inspired by brutalism, but softened for usability
Large imagery and bold typography for strong first impressions
Clean flows: from homepage to product to cart in seconds
Transparent product info and trust markers (ingredients, delivery, sustainability)
Modular UI system designed to grow with the product catalog
The result is a store that feels fresh, confident, and Gen Z-ready without sacrificing function.
🔧 The Process
Conducted competitive analysis
Defined core user goals: quick discovery, confidence in products, fast checkout
Mapped end-to-end flows: from browsing to cart
Designed modular UI system with reusable components
Prototyped and tested in Figma with various breakpoints
Focus: make sure the user always knows where they are, what they’re seeing, and what to do next without overwhelming them.
💡 What I Learned
This project was a reminder that clean ≠ boring.
Designing for cleaning products taught me how much UX clarity affects trust. Especially when you're not selling something “fun.”
It also deepened my skills in e-commerce hierarchy, product logic, and no-fluff UI design.
🎯 Outcome
CleanGang became a showcase of how bold aesthetics and solid UX can coexist. Even in a market as unsexy as cleaning products.
The project helped define the brand’s voice and visual identity while delivering a ready-to-scale ecommerce system tailored to modern users.
It also deepened my skillset in designing for conversion, hierarchy, and trust, while proving that even everyday products can be sold in a way that feels exciting, intentional, and user-friendly.
